DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT <br /> <br />NORTHSTAR CORRIDOR DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> June 1, 2000 <br /> <br />The Northstar Corridor Development Authority met in regular session on June 1, 2000, in the Board Room at <br />the Sherbume County Government Center, Elk River, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present were: Tim Yantos, Betsy Wergin, Mary Richardson, Mark Stenglein, Paul Ostrow, Paul McCarron, <br />Dan Erhart, Don Jolly, Robert Kirchner, John Weaver, Patrick Cairns, Don Meyer, Jerry Leese, Carl Yilek, <br />Gerald Goebel, Duane Cekalla, John Ellenbecker, Bob Johnson, Duane Grandy, Lewis Stark, Tom <br />Cruikshank, John Norgren, Tom Gamec, Rick Meyer, Alicia Vap, Jean Keely, Scott Harlicker, Stephanie <br />Klinzing, Rick Speak, Dartrell Lipscomb, Dean Michalko, Warren Porter, Tom Poul, Bill Schrieber, Vick <br />Oviatt, David Loch, Lynn George, Brian Bensen, Jeff Dehler, Yvonne Chaillet, Mike Christensen, Gabe <br />Guevara, Dick Wolsfeld, Rick Nau, Tim House, Tom Wenzel, Bob Erdrich, Ken Stevens <br /> <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 4:35 p.m. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Bob Erdrich, seconded by Jerry Leese and carried unanimously to approve <br />the agenda of June 1, 2000, as presented and the minutes of May 4, 2000, as presented. <br /> <br />3. Executive Committee Report: <br /> <br />A motion was made by Bob Erdrich, seconded by Patrick Caims, and carded unanimously to <br />approve Resolution #2000-4 dated June 1, 2000, wherein the Northstar Corridor <br />Development Authority (NCDA) selects the City of Rice as the northerly terminus station <br />for the Northstar Corridor Commuter Rail line and wherin the NCDA supports Mn/DOT's <br />continued planning efforts for the northern extension of the Northstar Corridor Commuter <br />Rail line from Rice to Camp Ripley. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />A motion was made by Duane Grandy, seconded by Jerry Goebel, and carried unanimously <br />to approve a Shandwick budget amendment in the amount of $16,128.65 and a Shandwick <br />contract amendment in the amount of $31,128.65 to cover excess costs related to the direct <br />mailing in February 2000. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />A motion was made by Paul McCarron, seconded by Paul Ostrow, and carried unanimously <br />to authorize the chair to execute an amendment to the Shandwick contract in the amount of <br />$57,000 for professional services for the period of June through September 2000. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />The Executive Committee appointed Mark Stenglein to serve as the NCDA non-voting <br />representative on the Central Corridor Coordinating Committee and Paul Ostrow to serve as <br />the alternate. <br /> <br />4. Paul McCarron presented an update on legislative issues. <br /> <br />Ken Stevens and Rick Nau, BRW, Inc., presented a conceptual design report overview including <br />vehicle performance, vehicle service and inspection facility design, and fare collection procedures. <br /> <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
