Steve reviewed the staff report on this request. He noted that a <br />3eived from a neighbor regarding proximity of the semi truck to the <br />fumes, and noise prompted the request. Steve reviewed the staff <br />request. He indicated that the Planning Commission recommended <br />site restraints and negative impact on the neighbors. <br /> <br />}It, 19619 Tyler Street, indicated that the truck was bought prior to <br /> <br />the ordinan¢e addressing semi trucks. She indicated that they have $500 invested <br />in current ar~a to park the truck and to move the truck would be very expensive. <br />She reviewe~l her husband's trucking schedule with the council and indicated <br />that he is ve, careful to not let the truck idle for more than a couple of minutes. <br /> / <br />Diane Bredd~ck, 19687 Tyler Street, indicated that the issue is the truck parked <br />next to their t~ome. She stated that the truck is parked 30 feet from their bedroom <br />and causes lhem to lose sleep and to deal with diesel fumes. <br /> / <br />Beth Wilby, 1~619 Tyler, indicated that the idle time is short. She indicated that <br />there is a Iotbf other noise that is worse than the truck. <br /> <br />There being ~o further comments Mayor Klinzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilmerr bet Motin indicated that the tractor is very close to the house and <br />stated that I- e is not in favor of the conditional use permit. Councilmember <br />Thompson c~)ncurred that he was not in favor of granting the conditional use <br />permit. May(~r Klinzing indicated that the truck is too close to the neighbor's <br />bedroom. / <br />COUNCILME~/IBER THOMPSON MOVED TO DENY THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />REQUESTED eY FRED RAINBOLT DUE TO THE SITE CONSTRAINTS AND THE NEGATIVE <br />IMPACT ON ,kD JOINING PROPERTIES. COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN SECONDED THE <br />MOTION.
