Memo to Mayor and City Council/CU 00-16 <br />June 17, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />an additional 7 spaces or 37 spaces are required. The site plan meets the <br />parking requirements. <br /> <br />Landscaping <br /> <br />The proposed expansion will eliminate the existing foundation plantings along the <br />front of the building. The applicant is proposing to relocate that plant material if <br />possible. Other landscaping on the site will not be affected by the expansion. An <br />additional black hills spruce and crabapple are proposed in the northwest corner <br />of the site, between Evans Street and the drive through aisle. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Meetinq <br /> <br />At the Planning Commission meeting held on May 23rd, no one spoke at the <br />public hearing. The Commission recommended approval of the proposed <br />expansion. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />The Planning Commission and staff recommend the City Council approve this <br />request for a conditional use permit to build an addition to Culver's restaurant <br />with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. All conditions included as part of the approval of CU 97-22 shall be <br /> complied with. <br />2. In addition to the additional trees proposed as part of the expansion, <br /> landscaping be installed per approved landscaping plan dated 9/9/97 and <br /> the existing plantings impacted by the expansion be relocated on site. <br /> <br />S:\PLANNING\SCOTT~CU0016CC.DOC <br /> <br /> <br />
