building. This "solution" to our parking problem is tied to the redevelopment projects and <br />requires us to remove the Utilities building, close I~ing Avenue, and expand the parking lot. I <br />need Council agreement on this concept before moving forward with anything such as <br />holding meetings with Mn/DOT, the school, First National Bank, or beginning to establish <br />a city/downtown business owner committee. A task force or committee is likely going to be <br />necessary in order to get "buy in" from the downtoxvn business owners to self police their <br />employees and/or to agree on a parking enforcement policy.
