• The Street Department helped us out by painting the lines in our parking lot at the Field
Services Building(picture attached)and paving some open spaces at Well#2 (picture
attached).
• The Parks Department has also been helping out by trimming and removing trees,
mulching around trees, and completing some flail mowing for us.
• Well#5 failed on June 5. We are in discussions with the manufacturer on warranty
coverage. The VFD, dV/tV filter, and all of the wiring components have been tested. The
only failure that has been discovered is the motor. We are working towards 100%repair
coverage of the motor.
• We had the weather station moved to a different location in front of the field services
building. An interesting fact to note, the weather has been recorded in Elk River since
May 10, 1940; and the utility has been doing it since 1949. Since the weather station has
been in Elk River, we have received over 182 feet of rain. The highest temperature has
been recorded at 100 degrees and the lowest at-40 degrees in 1940. Attached are the July
2015 weather graphs.
• Angela Hauge attended the Minnesota Rural Water Association(MRWA) Line Tracing
Training in Medina,MN on July 22, 2015.
