The historic building under the <br /> façade alterations was built in 1911,after an earlier fire that destroyed this section of the <br /> block. The brick storefronts each had a single entry with a display window surmounted <br /> by a glazed transom.The flat roof of the block had a simple parapet with a corbelled <br /> III cornice. <br />
