of <br />ver <br />Ordinance 15 - 18 <br />StFikethfoughs to be removed <br />Underlines to be added <br />An Ordinance Amending Sections, 58-31, "Definitions," 58-34, "Recyclable <br />materials," and 58-37, "Containers" of the City of Elk River, Minnesota, City Code, <br />to Implement the City Blue Bag Organics Solid Waste Program <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: <br />SECTION 1. That § 58-31, "Definitions" of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be <br />amended to add the following definition: <br />"Blue Bag Organics Pro ram" means the proaarn. used for SSO collection by means of <br />placing SSO into Blue Bag Organics bags. <br />"Source Separated Organics (SSO)" means food scraps and soileda er but not yard wastes <br />or inorganic materials such as rec Tclables and mixed municipal washes. <br />SECTION 2. That, by revising Subsection (b), adding Subsection (c) and removing Subsection (d), <br />§ 58-34, "Recyclable materials" of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be amended to <br />read as follows: <br />(b) Preparation for Recycling collection. <br />{�h on -soiled -Ppaper, aluminum,_ glass, metals, plastic, and cardboard can be commingled in <br />the single -sort recycling cart for collection.
