Suggestions: <br /> al 2 Be <br /> • <br /> • Bring"Star News Newspaper"back into town(3-4 story structure). <br /> • Remove/restore First National Bank of Elk River (the present architecture is NOT compatible with the town) <br /> • Put The B&B by the river in Block C(tourist attraction). <br /> • Put the fine dining multi story space("Cosmopolitan Club"AKA Decathlon Club)facing the river block A,B or <br /> C. <br /> • Add a new multi story community center down town. <br /> • Restore existing downtown structures to original circa 1920-1930's architecture <br /> • Add lofts/apartments on existing third/fourth story buildings- 1920-1930's style architecture <br /> • Retain the lighted(multi use)dual path river walk/jog/bike/skate path. <br /> • Consider a restaurant attached to a micro brewery. (tourist attraction). <br /> • Multi-family housing structure is not appropriate down town. <br /> • Bring"Dunn Brothers"type coffee house/bookstore downtown. <br /> • Keep the Municipal Utilities company located down town. <br /> • Relocate the library to down town. <br /> • Bring the Post Office back to down town <br /> • Keep most of the current establishments(dry cleaners,mercantile,banks etc.)downtown but restore the space(s) <br /> to circa 1920's 30's architecture. <br /> • Get RID of the flag pole down town.
