Box 430 <br /> Elk River, Minnesota 55330-0430 <br /> Re: Proposal for Architecture Services <br /> Municipal Utilities Building Study for City of Elk River <br /> Dear Mr. Adams: <br /> TKDA is excited to assist the City of Elk River with their Municipal Utilities Building Study. <br /> TKDA has experience with this project type, including planning and design work for Austin <br /> Utilities and Annual Condition Assessments for the Minnesota State Fair. In partnering with <br /> TKDA, Elk River will benefit from: <br /> • TKDA's Long History with Utility and Public Clients: TKDA has helped clients <br /> decipher their needs; develop phasing plans to respond to funding availability, program <br /> site and building space needs; and prepare conceptual and final master plans for sites <br /> and buildings. Elk River Municipal Utilities (ERMU) will benefit from TKDA's experience <br /> assisting other organizations to overcome multiple locations, silo effects, and to develop <br /> a plan for unifying the divisions. <br /> • Experienced Project Manager: Peter Bro2ek, the TKDA Project Manager/Architect for <br /> the Elk River Municipal Utilities (ERMU) project, brings enthusiasm, experience and an <br /> interest in the layout and design of utility facilities and sites. His interest and expertise is <br /> a benefit to ERMU as you define your needs and goals. Our Team's objective in the <br /> project is to apply our expertise and give ERMU a tailored "plan forward." It is our intent <br /> and method to involve ERMU staff so they take ownership of the resulting phasing plan, <br /> site and building program, project layouts, and conceptual plans. <br /> Compensation to TKDA for services provided as described in of this Proposal shall be in the <br /> Lump Sum amount of$70,000.00. Payment shall be made in accordance with Article 3 of the <br /> attached General Provisions. <br /> The level of effort required to accomplish these services can be affected by factors which are <br /> beyond our control. Therefore, if it appears at any time that charges for services rendered will <br /> exceed the above state Lump Sum, we agree that we will not perform services or incur costs <br /> which will result in billings in excess of such amount until we have been advised by you that <br /> additional funds are available and our work can proceed. <br /> An employee owned company promoting affirmative action and equal opportunity <br /> 143 <br />
