SUMMARY SUMMARY Kodet Architectural Group,Ltd.has the experience,resources and exceptional team members to deliver complete services for the planning,design and construction services for the Elk River Municipal Utilities Facility. Kodet is uniquely qualified to work on the planning and design of a municipal utilties facility in Elk River.Our approach is focused on the following major elements: • Previous experience and success with municipal facilities.The Kodet Team has a solid understanding of how to design vehicular facilities, including;site circulation,equipment placement,areas for staff functions,storage,and overall operations.We are also listeners,if you've got specific ideas applicable to your facility,we want to hear them. • We are a leader in sustainable design,thinking,and practice.Sustainability has been an important aspect in design at Kodet for over 30 years.We provided information for the B3 Guidelines;Kodet's project for the DNR Windom Headquarters was used as a pilot study for the MSBG-B3.Kodet implements sustainable design practices such as day-lighting,energy efficiency,high indoor air quality,recycling,and other practices during the design and construction of all our projects. • Kodet will work as a team with the City of Elk River facilities staff.We will listen to the goals,wants,and needs of those who will be using the building so we can program it to function efficiently. • The importance of architectural design is reflected in how we design low maintenance facilities that work.Kodet also understands that city facilities often have aesthetic requirements,such as being designed to complement adjacent residential structures or to coordinate with other city buildings. We are experienced in meeting requirements such as these with creative,yet respectful designs.We also design buildings that can expand to meet future requirements as the community grows and expands. • Successful project management from programming through design.This includes cost estimating and contract administration.Kodet's accurate in-house cost estimating allows us to design buildings that are under the construction and project budgets.For example,the bids for MnDOT Maple Grove came in$383,612 under Kodet's estimate.The project was a 13.7 million dollar project.Meeting project budgets and schedules is a commitment we make to clients.
