City of <br /> Elk <br /> River <br /> Resolution 15- <br /> A Resolution of the City of Elk River Supporting Regional Park Designation <br /> Application for Woodland Trails Park in Greater Minnesota. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has the authority to act as legal public sponsor for the <br /> application described in the ReguestforDesignation as a Regional Park in Greater Minnesota. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is fully aware of the information provided in the <br /> application and associated responsibilities, including long—term commitments as defined in <br /> the application and related master plan and supporting information as submitted. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Elk River adopted the Parks and Recreation Master Plan on June <br /> 1, 2015 and stated within the plan is the recommendation that Woodland Trails Park <br /> become a strong candidate for regional park status. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Elk River Parks and Recreation Commission recommended on <br /> June 10, 2015 incorporating Big Tooth Ridge Park and the Great Northern Trail into <br /> Woodland Trails Park as a regional park designation. <br /> WHEREAS, should Woodland Trails Park receive formal designation as a Regional Park <br /> in Greater Minnesota by the Commission, that as the lead applicant, the City of Elk River <br /> has the legal authority to enter into formal designation and funding agreements with the <br /> Commission for the referenced park. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk <br /> River, Minnesota, as follows: will comply with all applicable laws and regulations associated <br /> with regional park designation any future grant funding for their respective portions of any <br /> project. <br /> Passed and adopted this 15th day of June 2015. <br /> John J.
