It's been quite awhile since we have had the opportunity to sit down together with you regarding the City's planning issues. I can assure you that the entire Council appreciates all of your hard work. You have done an exceptional job, given all the growth issues and changes occurring in and around the City. A key issue that has come up in our recent visioning process relates to a perception that there is a lack of direction on the part of the Council to staff and our Commissions. Part of this, I'm sure, stems from our infrequent joint meetings,part from how our decisions are being communicated, and, admittedly,part from honest differences of opinion on the part of the Mayor and Councilmembers.
