�j <br /> Elk = - Request for Action <br /> River <br /> To Item Number <br /> Mayor and City Council 6.1b <br /> Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br /> Public Hearin� 1june 1, 2015 Chris Leeseber , Park Planner/Planner <br /> Item Description Reviewed by <br /> Zone Change, Lot 1, Block 2, Nature's Edge Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> Business Center from Business Park to Planned Reviewed by <br /> Unit Development <br /> Action Requested <br /> Adopt, by motion, the ordinance amending City of Elk River zoning map to rezone certain property from <br /> BP, Business Park to PUD, Planned Unit Development. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> The applicant is seeking approval to build a 13,824 square foot facility on 4.08 acres that would provide a <br /> wash facility, light duty maintenance, and office space. <br /> Per staff recommendation, the applicant is requesting a rezoning of the subject property to PUD, to <br /> coincide with the existing PUD zoning on their adjoining property. <br /> The request is not consistent with the Comprehensive Plan or the Focused Area Study (FAST) plan <br /> adopted by the City Council in 2014 and 2010 respectively. <br /> Planning Commission Meeting Summary <br /> The Planning Commission discussed transportation and circulation as it relates to the business and <br /> questioned if the applicant had any concerns with the infrastructure in the area.
