Water P&L <br /> The Water Department had a good month as well. March's water consumption is up 9% <br /> overall from the prior year: <br /> • Residential usage is down slightly at.15% <br /> • Commercial usage is up 18% <br /> Water Operating Revenues are again ahead of last year by 11.5%at$107,749, and year- <br /> to-date revenues are ahead by 11%. <br /> Other Revenue of$17,831 is down significantly from the prior year. Connection Fees are <br /> the driver here this month,just as last month. Total Revenues of$125,580 are up from <br /> the prior year by 7%and year-to-date decreased only slightly by less than 1%. <br /> Expenses are consistent with the prior year in total,but vary within the individual <br /> expenses from the prior year. Distribution Expense is up due to focused maintenance of <br /> water services, and water permit expenses with our annual payment for the MN DNR . <br /> Total Expenses were $202,372 compared to the prior year of$201,639. <br /> For March, the Water Department has a Net Loss (which is expected this time of year) of <br /> ($77,128), compared to a budgeted Net Loss of($302,270) and last year of($84,037). <br /> 26 <br />
