The NCDA also authorized the <br />Executive Committee to select the consultant at the March 16, <br />2000 Executive Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Three firms responded to the RPS: BRW, Inc., LSA Designs, Inc., <br />and IBI Group. All three firms were interviewed. NCDA Vice- <br />Chair Paul Ostrow served on the interviewing team. <br /> <br />After careful consideration of the proposals and the interviews, the <br />selection committee recommended IBI Group as the firm best <br />meeting the needs of the NCDA for station area planning. IBI <br />Group demonstrated a level of commitment to the project in terms <br />of the resources it is willing to allocate. Its key personnel are <br />experienced in all areas of transportation planning including <br />commuter rail and inter-modal systems design, station design, <br />and transit-oriented development master planning. It is currently <br />working on the Hiawatha / Lake Street Station Area Plan for the <br />Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority.
