Of the amount available in the Multimodal fund, approximately $I00 million would be <br />needed each year for on-going spending for transit operations, rail and waterways, motor <br />cartier regulation, safety council, and highway tort claims. <br /> <br />Approximately,'$190 million would be available each year for new transportation spending. <br /> <br />Up to $100 million would be available each year for trunk highway construction from <br />trunk highway bonding authorizations. <br /> <br />FY 2006 and On <br /> <br />MVET revenue estimates are approximately $620 million for FY2006 (assuming 4% <br />annual growth). <br /> <br />25% of the MVET revenues would be distributed to the Highway User Tax Distribution <br />fund for registration tax reduction, approximately $155 million. <br /> <br />75% of the MVET revenues would be distributed to the Multimodal Transportation fund <br />for transportation spending, approximately $465 million in FY 2006. <br /> <br />Of the amount available in the Multimodal fund, approximately $115 million would be <br />needed each year for on-going spending for transit operations, rail and waterways, motor. <br />cartier regulation, safety council, and highway tort claims. <br /> <br />Approximately $350 million would be available for new transportation spending. <br /> <br />Up to $100 million would be available each year for trunk highway construction from <br />trunk highway bonding authorizations. <br /> <br /> <br />
