MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Scott Harlicker, Senior Planner <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Rebecca Haug, Environmental Assistant <br /> <br />DATE: May ! 2, 2004 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Woodland Hills Development <br /> <br />On Max: 5, 2004, Tim Edgeton, Sherburne CounU, Forester and I inspected the proposed <br />Woodland Hills development to detect Oak Wilt. During our inspection, Oak Wilt was <br />identified. It is reco~rnended that an on-site inspection by a private contractor who is <br />experienced in diagnosis and control of oak wilt be completed and a plan for treatment and <br />prevention be subnqStted to the Cit7 for consideration of action. Treatment must be <br />conducted prior to any issuance of building permits. <br /> <br />Barriers shall be installed along areas to be preserved prior to construction. During <br />construction, BMPs shall be implemented to avoid wounding healthy trees and if wounding <br />does occur, the trees must be treated with t_tee wound dressings or paints. <br /> <br />It is also recommended that tEe developer inform new homeowners teat tee plat has Oak Wilt <br />and has been treated for Oak Wilt.
