CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 79-30 <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 79-2 <br /> MEADOWVALE OAKS <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 79-25ordering the advertisement for <br /> bid for the designated improvements for Meadowvale Oaks, for sanitary sewer, water- <br /> main, storm sewer and streets, said bids were received on the 20th day of August, <br /> 1979, opened and tabulated according to law and the following three lowest bids <br /> were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> S & L Excavating, Inc. $58,337.06 <br /> Oak Hill Gravel & Construction $64,123.80 <br /> Bonine Excavating $65,588.07 <br /> WHEREAS, it appears that S & L Excavating, Inc. of Clear Lake, Minnesota is <br /> the lowest responsible bidder; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Elk River City Council as follows: <br /> • 1. The Mayor and the City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed <br /> to enter into a contract with S & L Excavating, Inc. of Clear Lake, <br /> Minnesota for the designated improvements. <br /> 2. The Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to <br /> all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the three lowest <br /> responsible bidders. When a contract is duly executed the deposits of <br /> the two remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The bid <br /> deposit of the successful bidder will be retained until the performance <br /> bond has been executed and approved, after which the bid deposit will <br /> be returned. <br /> PASSED by the Elk River City Council this 20th day of August, 1979. <br /> Madsen, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> - <br /> Rob rt C.
