POSSIBLE ACTIONS

1. Tell snowmobilers and ATV users where they can ride rather than where
they cannot.

Local clubs could help sign routes.

2. Continue to work with local snowmobile group on Highway 10 &
Highway 169 link.

3. Establish trailhead parking such as Orono Park parking lot.

4. Eliminate all snowmobiling in an area of town such as the Urban Service
Area. Except on designated trails, private property with written
landowners permission on parcels larger than __ acres and Lake Orono.

This would be like the firearms and burning ordinance. Cities cannot
accommodate all uses.

5. Stiffer 2nd offense penalties.

6. Ask the legislator to ban studs. This would solve most of the trail
damage concerns.

7, Stop paving trails along roadways until the damage issued is resolved.
