The <br />property to the south is a 40 acre parcel and contains a house. <br /> <br />The dogs will be housed outside in a 50' X 50' fenced area. The kennel <br />consists of a 6' high wire fence with 6" buried underground to prevent the <br />dogs from digging out. There are individual houses for the dogs. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Meeting <br /> <br />At the Planning Commission meeting held on January 25th , no one spoke at <br />the public hearing. The applicant indicated that he spoke with several of the <br />neighbors and they did not have any concerns about the kennel. The <br />Commission recommended approval of the conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It is recommended the City Council approve the conditional use permit for a <br />private kennel at 13884 200th Ave. with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That there be no on-site commercial activities such as breeding or <br /> boarding or selling. <br /> <br />2. That the private kennel be limited to 8 dogs. <br /> <br />3. That the animal waste be disposed of properly. <br /> <br />4.
