POINTS TO CONSIDER ON SOFTBALL FIELDS
1. Should some of the E & 0 property be sold as commercial property to
generate money?
2. Are adult softball fields a greater need than youth baseball, softball, or
soccer?
3. Is it important to leave a site for the carnival to set up for the 4th of
July?
4. Are 290' fences the highest priority?
5. Is the field orientation to the sun a high priority?
6. Is there a lot of gain for the park in general to abandon Kuss Field and
build two fields on the E & 0 property?
PATHWAY LIGHTS
•
The pathways that I had proposed for lighting are highlighted on the
enclosed plan and would create a lighted loop around City Hall. The costs
will be just under $13,000. This is about twice the cost of my original
estimate due to recommendations by a lighting expert. If it is the desire of
the Commission to do a lighted system this year, we will need to forward
recommendation to the City Council yet this month. The funding would come
from Park Dedication Fees.
•
