"'ity of TO: MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL
Jlk River FROM: PHIL HALS, STREET/PARK SUPT• )"
DATE: JANUARY 20, 1994
SUBJECT: WOODLAND TRAILS CONSTRUCTION
SCHEDULE
The archaeological study of Woodland Trails Park was completed
in November, 1993 without finding any historical or
archaeological sites in the proposed construction area. This
means that we can proceed with the entrance road, parking lot,
and trails in 1994 .
I would propose the following construction schedule for 1994:
1 . Rough grade the entrance road and parking lot with a
rental dozer.
2 . Level subgrade and install 1700 ton of Class 5 base with
City equipment.
3 . Plow in electrical wire and set bases for 12 street lights
with City equipment.
• 4 . Grade crushed rock trails and install 1300 ton of crushed
rock delivered by others, installed by City equipment.
5 . Grade bituminous trails and install 2500 ton of Class 5
base with City equipment.
1995 Schedule
1 . Fine grade and pave the 8600 lineal feet of trails with
1300 ton of bituminous with City equipment.
2 . Install 12 street light fixtures .
3 . Fine grade and pave the entrance road and parking lot with
1000 ton of bituminous with City equipment.
This schedule is based on the assumption that Woodland Trails
Park will be the major construction project for 1994 and 1995 .
As you will note from the quantities, this project will take
many hours of Street/Park department time to complete.
P.O.
