Current rate for residential is $3,712 per dwelling unit. <br />Motion carried 5 -0 <br />4.2 Request by Academy of Elk River for Conditional Use Permit for Martial <br />Arts Studio, 121671 Meadowvale Road, NW, Case No. CU 15 -06, Public <br />Hearing <br />Mr. Carlton presented the staff report. <br />Chair Johnson opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this issue, Chair <br />Johnson closed the public hearing. <br />Chair Eric Johnson stated he had some concern for the potential of chemical odors of other <br />businesses in this multi- tenant facility and how it would affect the studio. <br />Mr. Carlton stated this is an industrial district so there would be expectations of possible <br />chemical odors but city code allows for commercial recreational facilities as a conditional use <br />permit in the district. <br />Moved by Commissioner Konietzko and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to <br />approve Conditional Use Permit, Case No. CU 15 -06 with the following conditions: <br />1. As a CUP is not a building permit, the applicant shall apply for all required <br />permits. <br />2. Fitness /martial arts class sizes shall not exceed 80 students. <br />Motion carried 5 -0 <br />4.3 Request by Gustafson Trailers for Conditional Use Permit for Trailer Sales <br />and Repair, 17354 Zane Street, NW, Case No. CU 15 -05, Public Hearing <br />Mr. Leeseberg presented the staff report. He stated work had been done on the property <br />without proper city permits but since the submission of the staff report to the commission, <br />staff has learned the applicant has now applied for city permits. <br />Commissioner Petschl questioned if the building and fire departments have had a chance to <br />see the property. <br />Mr. Leeseberg noted the fire department has been to the site on several occasions and they <br />are okay with the progress being made. He stated the building department has not been out <br />to the site yet. <br />The history and challenges of the building site were discussed. <br />Chair Johnson opened the public hearing. <br />
