He explained that MnDOT had been unable to locate <br /> the guilty party. <br /> COMMISSIONER O'BRIEN MOVED TO REQUEST THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OFFER A <br /> $500.00 REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF <br /> THE PERSON OR PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR CUTTING THE TOPS FROM THE TREES <br /> ON MNDOT RIGHT-OF-WAY ON THE WEST SIDE OF HIGHWAY 169 BY BIG WHEEL <br /> ROSSI. COMMISSIONER DALEIDEN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5-0. <br /> 9. Staff Updates <br /> Steve Rohlf presented a preliminary plat map for North Meadows on <br /> County Road 32 and 214th Avenue. There was a brief discussion. <br /> COMMISSIONER O'BRIEN MOVED TO RECOMMEND THAT THE DEVELOPER PAY PARK <br /> DEDICATION FEES IN LIEU OF DONATING PARK PROPERTY. COMMISSIONER OLSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> Commissioner O'Brien left the meeting at this time (10:00 p.m. ) <br /> • Phil Hals informed the Commission that at the present time his crew is <br /> working in irrigation system start ups at the softball complex and the <br /> Community Education fields, playground equipment maintenance at Orono <br /> Park and Deerfield IV Park, brush clean up at Ridgewood East Park, and <br /> trail grading for Orono Trail. The projects for the coming month will <br /> include planting 100 boulevard trees in Westwood and about 200 trees at <br /> the new City Hall site, disposal of the silica sand from Gary Street, <br /> starting the City Hall irrigation system, and finishing the site <br /> grading for landscaping at the New City Hall. <br /> Pat Klaers informed the Commission of a meeting he had with Elk River <br /> Country Club regarding issues of a shared entrance, a property exchange <br /> and/or possibly the Country Club purchasing some City park property. <br /> Representatives of the Country Club will present a proposal to the City <br /> in early June. <br /> Pat Klaers discussed issues regarding the new City Hall property, <br /> particularly the area south of Orono Parkway and the old E & 0 Tool <br /> property area west of Gary Street. He asked the Commission to give <br /> some though to these areas and also to the future traffic patterns for <br /> Orono Road and Gary Street. Pat also recommended that the City <br /> • continue efforts to purchase the parking area from the Sherburne County <br /> Fair Board. <br /> 10.1.Oak Trees <br />
