Sagstetter suLtested changing"audits"to"assessments"as they don't currently have
the staff for an audit Many assessments produce the same benefits. Also, include an
assessment following a number of achievements by an applicant to make sure they
are completing what they say.
Rydberg asked if there was a way to do a"self-assessment"
Hoskins asked how many assessments would we do and to whom?Mtoz stated she
would put a disclaimer on the packet and only those who agree would receive an
assessment.
Rydberg asked if there would be a season for the pilot program. Sagstetter said he
was hoping to do a kick off event in March or April and that we could cap the
program to 100 applicants for 2015. Rydberg suggested that we need to follow a
calendar year in order for the incentives to work. Sagstetter suggested using an open
enrollment during a specified time only and use the Quest line newsletter to get
applicants. Hoskins noted that the packet mentions the program is on a"calendar
year."
Mroz stated that this program is based off of the Green Step Cities program which
allows for new applicants at any time, therefore not deterring any interest during a
"non-enrollment"period.Westgaarcl agreed that keeping an opportunity to sign up
at any time would be useful and that we should end the year at December 31.The
participants with the most points at that date will receive the incentive.Sagstetter
stated that points would not be rolled over for incentives.
Flatland suggested adding a"quick and easy fix" section to the packet and online
version and that we could add a"certified" business after so many points or years in
the program. Mroz stated that the online version could have a number of layouts (no
cost to high cost, small business to large business, quick fix to long fix, etc.) Sayler
suggested adding the"Energy Pyramid."
Rydberg suggested working on paper version now and online version can be added
at any time. Sagstetter suggested a quantifiable savings chart for average customers.
Sagstetter and Mroz will work on a timeline for the program. Mroz will have the
paper version ready by February 18 meeting. Mroz will look into a City Council
update in March. Rydberg mentioned that staff should work on a marketing plan
next
5.3 CERTs Conference (March (0-1 1)
Mroz gave the staff update. Commissioners will report to staff if interested in
attending the conference.
SA Contractor High Kickoff Meeting
Sagstetter gave the update. The event will include at least 2 meetings for contractors,
business owners,and commercial property owners.
