City Council Minutes Page 4 <br />March 2, 2015 <br />----------------------------- <br />8.2 Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Change Order <br /> Mr. Femrite presented the staff report. <br />Moved by Councilmember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Olsen <br />to approve Changer Order #1 for the Wastewater Treatment Facility <br />Improvement project as outlined in the staff report. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />8.3 Discuss Work Session Items <br /> <br /> Mr. Portner presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mayor Dietz questioned the timing of some of the work session items listed. Mr. <br />Portner stated staff should be ready to present updates on the b <br />st <br />rental code soon. He noted the 221 Avenue trail improvement was referred back to <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />9.2 Council Liaison Updates <br />The Council provided updates of the works of the various boards/ <br />The City Council recessed at 7:12 in order to go into a work ses <br />reconvened at 7:17 p.m. <br />10.1 City Facility Security <br /> Mayor Dietz stated he asked staff to explore additional security measures in light of <br />the recent events at a New Hope City Council meeting. <br /> Chief Nierenhausen stated there are various options for increas <br />but not limited to having an officer at each Council meeting, en <br />and training so Councilmembers are prepared in the event of an incident. After <br />some discussion, the Council opted for Chief Nierenhausen to put <br />training for the Council, including actual scenarios in the Coun <br />The Council asked Mr. Beck to research whether there is an excep <br />Meeting Law for the Council to conduct security training. <br /> <br />11.
