CONSIDER TOBACCO LICENSE FOR ELK RIVER CENTER SMOKE <br /> SHOP, INC. <br /> <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />4. Annual Reports <br /> <br />The 2003 Annual Reports were presented. Each department shared some of their 2003 <br />accomplishments and 2004 goals, activities, and projects. The Council had a question and <br />answer session regarding any issues of concern and interest. <br /> <br />5. Other Business <br /> <br />Councilmember Dietz stated that he was embarrassed about the poor food and service that <br />was received at the Volunteer Recognition Dinner held April 22, 2004. He questioned if it <br />would be appropriate to send a letter of apology to those volunteers who attended the <br />dinner. <br /> <br />Councilmember Tveite agreed that the service was poor. He stated that the volunteers do a <br />lot for the city and this was the City Council's way of showing their appreciation. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to have Councilmember Dietz draft a letter on <br />behalf of the Mayor and City Council apologizing for the poor food and service received at <br />the Volunteer Recognition Dinner. The letter will be sent to all volunteers who attended the <br />event. <br /> <br />6.
