ASA <br /> too" INTRODUCTION <br /> ,U S saps. <br /> • MSF �: Since 1982 the Minnesota Sports Federation has been the major <br /> oEa ToN organizational force successfully planning and executing amateur sporting <br /> events for over 200,000 kids and adults in Minnesota. <br /> MINNESOTA <br /> SPORTS FEDERATION The mission of the MSF is to provide wholesome amateur/recreational <br /> sports opportunities that promote fitness, personal growth, sportsmanship <br /> and the development of life time leisure skills. We are a non-profit, non- <br /> discriminating organization serving Minnesota through amateur sports. <br /> CORPORATE PARTNERS <br /> The MSF was founded to fill a statewide amateur athletic gap not <br /> adequately served by schools, YMCA's, YWCA's, or private health clubs. <br /> e:. <br /> SUB The Governing Board of the MSF is a diverse group of people that are active <br /> participants in the sports community as players, game officials or program <br /> administrators. <br /> Aq The Minnesota Sports Federation serves as the local association for the <br /> Amateur Softball Association of America, which is recognized by the United <br /> N/OWESTSPoNTS CHANNEL states Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body for Softball. The <br /> MSF also conducts the Junior Olympic Youth softball program. The MSF <br /> is a member of (YBOA) Youth Basketball of America and the (NYBA) <br /> National Youth Basketball Association, two of the national leading youth <br /> 92 KQRS basketball associations. <br /> The Minnesota Sports Federation has been awarded national progress <br /> awards for exhibiting the greatest all-around progress and growth in youth <br /> sports. The MSF annually sponsors Softball Night at the Dome, a benefit <br /> for the Minnesota Special Olympics and promotion of Minnesota Softball. <br /> 4 jW- The MSF is committed to providing a quality statewide amateur program <br /> Spats Complex and to educate and train participants in the proper skills necessary to <br /> compete. <br /> We are funded solely by membership fees and corporate sponsorships. This <br /> has allowed us to operate year to year but provides no money for new <br /> programs or expansion of existing ones. <br /> AFFILIATED WITH Our goals for the 1996-97 season are to expand and enrich youth <br /> National Youth Basketball Association programs/services and to expand amateur sports programs for older active <br /> Basketball Congress International adults.
