Ach, City Planner.. .6 V, <br /> DATE: October 9, 1996 <br /> SUBJECT: Preliminary Plat of the Cass Property <br /> When the city purchased the Cass property for recreational fields it was also <br /> envisioned that a portion of the property would be subdivided into residential <br /> lots (Ma minimum 2-1/2 acres) to help finance the development of the <br /> recreational fields. The city is now moving forward with a preliminary plat <br /> to subdivide the ±30 acres into residential lots. The lots will be developed <br /> along the south side of 165th Avenue east of the proposed park as well as one <br /> lot off of Jarvis Street. The exact configuration of the lots has not been <br /> determined; however, the attached sketch plan is a fair representation of the <br /> preliminary plat that will be submitted to the Planning Commission on <br /> October 22nd. <br /> Recommendation <br /> The Park and Rec Commission is asked to make a recommendation for the <br /> Planning Commission and City Council to consider for the preliminary plat of <br /> the Cass property. <br /> • <br /> s:\council\p&r\cassprop.doc <br /> 13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
