BRW did not <br />have the benefit of ridership forecasts when estimating parking <br />requirements. The cost estimates for the Elk River station included a 500 <br />space parking lot. This estimate is high and will be reduced once the final <br />ridership analysis is completed. <br /> <br />The preliminary capital costs associated with the Elk River station is <br />$3,110,000. The costs for trackwork and system upgrades has not been <br />determined for each individual segment. For Elk River, two feeder bus lines were considered, one down <br />Highway 169 from Princeton and one from St. Michael.
