MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Stephen Rohlf, Building and Environmental Administrator <br /> <br />DATE: May 3, 2004 '~',~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Elk River Archaeology Day <br /> <br />The city's Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) in cooperation with the Sherbume <br />Count7 Historical Society will be hosting "Elk River Archaeology Day" as part of the <br />statewide Historic Preservation Week. An open house will be held at Lion's Park Center on <br />Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m. until noon. There will be children's events, refreshments and <br />Dr. Richard Rathaus will be discussing the recent archaeological work in Elk River. People <br />will also be able to have artifacts they have found analyzed by Dr. Rothaus. <br /> <br />The HPC would like to personally invite the City Council to attend <br />this event. <br /> <br /> <br />
