For <br /> your information we received 42 requests for funding totaling approximately$1,750,000. As I <br /> understand it, your project is for improvements on the existing railroad trail. <br /> I am writing you to inform you that your project successfully passed the initial review by our staff and <br /> was approved by the Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources on July 15, 1998. You have been <br /> awarded in the amount of$49,000. This will be reimbursed to you on a matching basis. <br /> However,before we can proceed to contract, we will need some additional paperwork completed. You <br /> will be sent the Cooperative Trail Grant Program Documentation Checklist which indicates what needs <br /> to be completed. This is an important step to complete before the contract can be made. Please contact <br /> us if you do not hear from us in the next couple of weeks. <br /> Please remember that no receipts for reimbursement will be honored for your project that precede a <br /> mutually agreeable signed contractual agreement that specifies the terms and conditions of project <br /> reimbursement. In slightly different words, do not spend any money on this project that you expect <br /> reimbursement for until you actually have a signed contract in front of you. <br /> Please notify us immediately if you are unable to complete the project before April 15, 2000. <br /> Feel free to call if you have questions about this letter or the program in general.
