• Elk River Park and Recreation Commission <br /> Community Recreation -April 1998 Update <br /> - Field Development Network Meeting: The Community Recreation Board at its' last meeting <br /> suggested that we coordinate a meeting of area Park And Recreation Commission representatives to <br /> meet and share their communities plans for future field development. This meeting has been <br /> scheduled for Thursday May 7, 6:00 pm at Larose's Pizza in Elk River. <br /> Please plan to send a representative to share your vision. <br /> • July as Park and Recreation Month: Please find attached a sample resolution that could be <br /> proclaimed by your Commission and recommended to Council. Perhaps this may coincide with <br /> promotions related to the Bond Referendum. <br /> - MRPA "Youth Initiatives/ Enrichment" legislative update. See the attached flyer. <br /> - Youth Athletic Complex: See the attached schedule of special events planned thus far. Please <br /> also find the latest and hopeful final use policy draft. I will verbally cover the latest updates. Please <br /> consider and approve this policy draft at your May meeting. <br /> • _ Youth Initiative Updates: Use of the vacant Prairie House. Skatepark.
