In this packet
you will find the following topics covered: current ABA policy and procedural info,
explanation of insurance coverages, track operator benefits, land procurement and track
design info, and track promotion tips. Hopefully, this information can be of great
assistance in getting your track off the ground. Also part of the packet are a sanction
application and a sanction agreement. These will be necessary once you are ready to
race.
Before any races can be sanctioned, you should have a piece of secured property upon
• which to build the track. When you are ready to apply, send to ABA the sanction
application, sanction agreement, and your proposed race days. Your application must
also include pictures or a video tape of the area around the track and the track itself. If
the track is not yet built, a diagram or drawing of the planned track will be sufficient.
Please forward pictures of the track once it is completed.
The sanction agreement document provides you with the ability to use all ABA logos in
track advertising. It also states that there is no fee to become associated with the ABA,
but only a small charge for each event held.
BMX is the fastest growing sport in the country and with your help and participation it •
will continue to grow at its current pace. If you have any questions or desire any
additional information, please contact the ABA offices at the number listed below.
Sincerely,
ABA Sanctioning Committee
(602)961-1903
•
