Currently <br />the largest age ~oup in the City are those ages 25 to 44 which comprise 33.9% of the population. <br />This age sega~ent increased by 1,613 persons between 1990 and 2000, an increase of 40.7%. <br />The second largest age group are youth age 5 to 17 which comprise 22.9% of the population. <br />This segment increased by 1,189 persons for a 46% increase. These two age segments also <br />represent the largest numerical increases between 1990 and 2000. <br /> <br />The largest percentage increase during the past ten years was found in the 55 to 64 age group <br />which increased by 87.7%, or 490 persons. The second largest percentage increase was <br />individuals age 45 to 54 which increased by 80.8%, or 877 persons. All age segments in the City <br />increased by at least 25% during the past ten years.
