Waiting means costs will only grow higher- for rail <br /> and for other options. <br /> <br />Efficient to operate <br />· It would take approximately 200 buses to carry as many passengers as the <br /> Northstar commuter rail service. <br />· Commuter rail tends to serve those who own a car (sometimes two) but <br /> choose to use the rail to reduce their drive time - and reduce congestion. <br /> (One study showed that, among bus riders, 70% said they used the bus <br /> because they did not drive or had no car available. For train riders, the figure <br /> was 17%.) <br /> <br /> <br />
