Project Issues <br /> <br />Local Funding Status - Margo LaBau <br />Current Status: The Minnesota State Legislature did not pass the requested <br /> funding in its last session. Mn/DOT will pursue funding with the <br /> legislature next legislative session. <br /> <br />BNSF Negotiations - Cecil Selness <br />Current Status: BNSF has been in continued communication with Mn/DOT. <br /> However, without the state portion of the funding, negotiations <br /> have slowed. <br /> <br />Project Development - Mike Schadauer <br />Current Status: In June 2001, the Project provided its Preliminary Engineering <br /> package to the FTA and its PMOC for review. In September <br /> 2001, the Project provided its New Starts Criteria update, <br /> identifying an MOS from Minneapolis to Big Lake, Minnesota. <br /> Now, the Project will submit a subsequent New Starts Criteria <br /> update by November 9, 2001, that will identifying a northwest <br /> terminus in Rice, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Do <br /> <br />Project Plan Forward -Mike Schadauer <br />Current Status: The Project will continue to refine and complete the <br /> requirements in preparation for application for a Full Funding <br /> Grant Agreement. The Project's next steps are Value <br /> Engineering, final design, and the procurement of consultant <br /> contract to assist Mn/DOT with operations policy and strategy. <br /> <br />E.
