The MMPA board had been provided the attached KPMA Agile Utility Report. This was <br /> great report highlighting many of the challenges our industry will be facing in the future. <br /> I welcome feedback and questions in regards to this report. If there are particular items <br /> that the Commission would like to research and discuss, they could be brought back for a <br /> future meeting. <br /> • ERMU's 100`h Year Anniversary Vision Committee has been established and the first <br /> meeting is being scheduled. Attached is the flyer that had been distributed internally. <br /> • Taking a cue from the City of Elk River, ERMU management is planning to hold an <br /> Employee Recognition Luncheon in December to recognized significant milestones in <br /> years of service. <br /> • As discussed during the October Commission meeting, ERMU will be participating along <br /> with MMUA and other municipal utilities in the planning and implementation of the <br /> 2016 APPA Lineworkers Rodeo. ERMU will be co-sponsoring one of the yet to be <br /> determined journeyman events. This will have a financial obligation of approximately <br /> $4,000 in materials such as poles. ERMU will have the option to get the material back <br /> after the event, or donate the material to the MMUA training center in Marshall, MN. <br /> Attached is a letter from MMUA outlining the event needs. <br /> • Mark Fuchs, Wade Lovelette, and I will be attending the MMUA Technical and <br /> Operations Conference in St. Cloud on December 9-11. I will be giving a presentation on <br /> pay equity in a competitive environment. The conference brochure is attached.
