THE MOTION C)d~RIED 7-0. <br /> <br />,IO~TION <br /> <br />Land Use Cases: Scott Breuer Concept Plan <br /> <br />Park Planner Cb_ds Leeseberg gave an overview of the ~hree concepts Scott Breuer presented <br />at the September 9, 2003 Planning Commission meeting. The or/ginal Concept A (140-unk <br />PUD) was again preferred by the Planning Commission, yet again was not preferred by the <br />Park and Recreation Commission. There was discussion as to why the Planning <br />Commission wanted the original 140-unit PUD. The Park and Recreation <br />Commission is st/ll looking for an approximately 200-foot wide buffer between the homes of <br />the proposed plat and the Great Northern Tra/1. The Commission preferred the <br />thought/idea behind Opt/on B, as it began to provide this desired buffer. The Commission <br />also discussed possibly of purchasing addidonai land, if the applicant was willing, to obtain <br />this buffer. Opt/on C Was not preferred by either of the commissions or the developer. The <br />Park and Recreation Commission gave staff direction to let the developer know they, <br />preferred Opdon B with some addir2onal modifications to obtain the buffer, and that they <br />may be will/ng to purchase some land to obtain it. <br /> <br />Development Issues: October Park Tour <br /> <br /> tO visit the following parks on their park 8, <br />2003: Starting Athletic Complex then Trott ghlands East and <br />West and if there {s enou~ Royal Valley.
