ElMeeting of the Elk River <br /> River Economic Development Authority <br /> Held at the Elk River City Hall <br /> Monday, September 15, 2014 <br /> Members Present: President Tveite, Commissioners Burandt, Westgaard,Provo, and <br /> Motin <br /> Members Absent: Commissioner Wilson and Dwyer <br /> Staff Present: Community Operations and Development Deputy Director Jeremy <br /> Barnhart, Economic Development Specialist Colleen Eddy, and <br /> Executive Secretary/Deputy City Clerk Jessica Miller <br /> I. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic <br /> Development Authority was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by President Tveite. <br /> 2. Consider 09/15/2014 Agenda <br /> Moved by Commissioner Motin and seconded by Commissioner Burandt to <br /> approve the September 15,2014, agenda. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> 3. Consider Consent Agenda <br /> Moved by Commissioner Westgaard and seconded by Commissioner Motin <br /> to approve the following consent agenda: <br /> 3.1 Check register as outlined in the staff report. <br /> 3.2 EDA Minutes <br /> • August 18,2014, Regular <br /> • August 25, 2014, Special <br /> 3.3 Balance sheet as outlined in the staff report. <br /> 3.4 Revenue/expenditure report as outlined in the staff report. <br /> 3.5 Appoint Community Operations and Development Deputy Director <br /> Jeremy Barnhart as the EDA interim executive director. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> 4. Open Forum <br /> Terry Morrell,Morrell Companies, 10752 171st Avenue—expressed concerns over <br /> a potential roundabout at the intersection of 1715`Avenue and Twin Lakes Road. He <br /> explained roundabouts can be difficult for trucks to maneuver and can pose safety <br /> hazards. Mr. Morrell stated other businesses in the area share the same concerns. <br />
