Economic Development Authority Minutes ' Page 4 <br /> July 21,2014 <br /> Ms. Mroz stated it could be intrepreted either way; the goal was to reach a potential <br /> of at least 10 people but that figure could be enlarged or the wording changed to <br /> outreach to 10 businesses. <br /> Councilmember Motin stated in reference to D2—to increase residential curbside <br /> recycling to 95%partication,he asked what was the current residential recycling rate. <br /> Ms. Mroz stated Allied Waste reported just today that residential recycling for the <br /> month was 80%. She stated this figure is low and the rate is normally in the 90-95% <br /> range. <br /> Councilmember Westgaard clarified the recycling rate has increased dramatically <br /> since changing to single sort recycling and stated there's always room for <br /> improvement. <br /> Ms. Mroz clarified this figure does not include businesses,which is another sector of <br /> potential recycling customers. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Dwyer and seconded by Commissioner Motin to <br /> recommend for formal adoption to the City Council the Energy City 2014 10- <br /> year Action Plan as outlined in the staff report wth the following changes: <br /> 1)Annual review of the plan instead of biannual review. <br /> 2) A9—to read "Contract with a bike share business." <br /> 3) B3—to read "Provide training to 10 business (owners and <br /> employees)..." <br /> Motion carried 6-0. <br /> 7.1 Natures Edge Business Center Phase II Bids <br /> Mr. Barnhart presented the staff report. <br /> 8.
