Stat. §331A.02, §331A.071 and <br />other applicable laws as amended. <br />(B) This Public Notice was printed and pub- <br />lished in said newspaper(s) for 1 succes- <br />sive issues; the first insertion being on <br />11/08/2014 and the last insertion being on <br />1110812014. <br />By: etou`cx t \ 1... <br />Authorized Agent <br />Subscribed and sworn to or affirmed before <br />me on 1110812014. <br />��1_41� <br />Notary Public <br />LIN <br />orn%-1 • I •r.� 'y. <br />,. xv. <br />Rate Information: <br />(1) Lowest classified rate paid by commercial users <br />for comparable space: <br />$23.00 per column inch <br />Ad ID 308639 <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />RESOLUTION 14 -58 <br />A Resolution of the City of Elk <br />River Approving Notice of Sum- <br />mary Publication of Ordinance No. <br />14 -11, an Ordinance Amending <br />Section 30 -796, entitled "Fences; <br />Visibility at Intersections and Drive- <br />ways" and Section, 30 -1007, <br />entitled "Accessory Structures" <br />of the City of Elk River Minnesota, <br />City Code. <br />WHEREAS, on October 20, <br />2014, the Elk River City Coun- <br />cil adopted Ordinance No. 14 -11 <br />amending Section 30 -796, entitled <br />"Fences; visibility at intersections <br />and driveways ", and Section, 30- <br />1007, entitled "Accessary struc- <br />tures"; and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, <br />Section 412.191, Subd. 4 allows <br />publication by title and summary in <br />the case of lengthy ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council <br />finds that the following summary <br />will clearly inform the public on the <br />intent and effect of Ordinance No. <br />14-11; and <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the full text <br />of Ordinance No. 14-11 is available <br />for inspection by any person at the <br />office of the Elk River City Clerk, <br />13065 Orono Parkway, during reg- <br />ular business hours — 8:00 a.m. to <br />4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE- <br />SOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Elk River, Minnesota, as fol- <br />lows: That the City Council, by at <br />least a four -fifths vote, authorizes <br />publication of the title and the fol- <br />lowing summary of Ordinance No. <br />14 -11. <br />Public Notice <br />During their October 20, 2014, <br />meeting, the City Council adopted <br />Ordinance No. 14 -11, an ordinance <br />amending Section 30 -796, entitled <br />"Fences; visibility at intersections <br />and driveways ", and Section, 30- <br />1007, entitled "Accessory struc- <br />tures". <br />In summary, Ordinance No. 14- <br />11 makes the following three (3) <br />changes to Sections 30-796 and <br />30 -1007 of the city code: <br />1. Allows the placement of elec- <br />tric, barbed, and barbless wire <br />fences on the property line in A -1 <br />and R -1 a zoning districts. <br />2. Removes the requirement to <br />place livestock fencing 100 feet <br />from all property fines in R -1 b, <br />R -1 c, and R -1d districts. <br />3. Removes the requirement to <br />place livestock fencing five (5) feet <br />from all property lines in the R -1a <br />district. <br />Passed and adopted this 3rd <br />day of November 2014. <br />John J.
