That budget included $50,000 for the purchase of skatepark equipment. With the <br />$12,775 raised by local youth, a total of $62,775 is available for the purchase of equipment. <br />An additional $1,500 has been approved by the Lions Club. <br /> <br />Request <br /> <br />Following the City's purchasing guidelines, the project was bid. Bids were opened March 15, <br />2004. Three bids were received: <br /> <br />American Ramp Company (ARC): <br />Trueride: <br />Ramptech: <br /> <br />$52,317.75 <br />$59,867.56 <br />$62,571.35 <br /> <br />While the proposal from Ramptech had more riding surface than was specified and was less <br />expensive per square foot of riding surface, they were the highest bid. Although Trueride <br />met every specification, they were higher than the Iow bid. ARC had the lowest bid but has <br />some minor deviations from the specifications. Both ARC and Trueride were contacted <br />after the bid opening to clarify their scheduling, as neither indicated this in their bids. ARC <br />faxed a commitment of completing the job by May 14, 2004 and Trueride faxed a <br />commitment of completing the job by April 23, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
