Operates light and heavy equipment. <br /> Essential Functions <br /> 1. Performs street maintenance activities. <br /> A. Constructs/maintains streets,parking lots, alleys, and related property using heavy <br /> and light equipment. <br /> B. Conducts sweeping,plowing, sanding and salting, and crack sealing and asphalt <br /> patching operations. <br /> C. Installs and maintains storm sewer systems and surface water drains. <br /> D. Installs, maintains, and repairs concrete surfaces. <br /> E. Installs and maintains street signs. <br /> F. Maintains traffic control signage on work projects within the road right of way. <br /> G. Cuts or trims trees and brush on City property and road right of way. <br /> 2. Performs level 1 and 2 equipment maintenance activities. <br /> A. Performs daily lubrication level checks on vehicles and equipment that the employee <br /> is assigned to operate. <br /> B. Completes CDL checklist daily on all CDL vehicles that the employee is assigned to <br /> operate. <br /> C. Reviews general condition of vehicle exterior and operating systems. <br /> D. Performs oil changes. <br /> E. Replace normal vehicle wear items.i.e. windshield wipers, cutting edges,light bulbs. <br /> 3. Performs general maintenance activities <br /> A. Performs building (exterior and interior) and grounds maintenance as assigned. <br /> 4. Performs other essential job duties. <br /> A. Regular and timely work attendance. <br /> B.
