i to be removed <br /> Underlines to be added <br /> City of Elk -m"' -� <br /> River <br /> Ordinance 14 - <br /> An Ordinance Amending Section, 34-32, Chief of Police, of the City of Elk River, <br /> Minnesota, City Code <br /> The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: <br /> SECTION 1. That§34-32, Chief of Police of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> The chief of police shall have supervision and control of the police department and its members. <br /> The chief of police shall be responsible for law enforcement and for property of the city used by the <br /> department. The chief of police shall be responsible for the proper training and discipline of the <br /> members of the department. Further,the chief of police shall be responsible for the keeping of <br /> adequate records and shall report on the needs of the department and its work. Every member of <br /> the department subordinate to the chief of police shall obey the instructions of the chief of police <br /> and any superior officer. The ,,,.,stab, chic(designated police captain shall have all the powers and <br /> duties of the chief of police during his absence or disability. <br /> SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption and be published as provided by <br /> law. <br /> Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 6th day of October, 2014. <br /> John J.
