Also,design guidelines should be developed to encourage the buildings to be restored to what they were. Commissioner Gongoll suggested that the HPC attend a River's Edge Downtown Business Meeting. The Committee requested that • staff set up a joint EDA/HRA/HPC meeting to discuss historic districts to encourage restoration and rehabilitation with financial incentives. The HPC would prefer the creation of a historic district with standards and financial incentives to be a voluntary effort. 6. Discuss Archaeology Opportunities for 2005 There is $5,000 in the budget if the HPC would like to use it to ards another CLG grant.
