It was suggested that the HPC go to the Brick Block to encourage <br /> facade or building rehabilitation. Also,design guidelines should be developed to encourage <br /> the buildings to be restored to what they were. Commissioner Gongoll suggested that the <br /> HPC attend a River's Edge Downtown Business Meeting. The Committee requested that <br /> • staff set up a joint EDA/HRA/HPC meeting to discuss historic districts to encourage <br /> restoration and rehabilitation with financial incentives. The HPC would prefer the creation <br /> of a historic district with standards and financial incentives to be a voluntary effort. <br /> 6. Discuss Archaeology Opportunities for 2005 <br /> There is $5,000 in the budget if the HPC would like to use it to ards another CLG grant. <br /> Dr.Rothaus would like to see the project continue by doin: c e intensive dig of the <br /> planning mill and paleo site. If more money was available;= e 1880's saw mill would be <br /> included.
