The Council approved an expenditure of budgeted city funds for the fireworks but appealed to the <br /> public for donations to assist the city in raising additional funds needed to support the event. <br /> On July 7, 2014, the City Council adopted resolution 14-32 acknowledging contributions in the amount <br /> of$4,140.00 towards the Independence Day fireworks.
