Community Recreation <br /> 50 Main Street, Elk River 274-1840 <br /> Community Recreation is housed in an office but the programs <br /> take place in parks, ball fields, schools, city building, and <br /> throughout the community. <br /> (Will be relocating to new office space at Lion's Park Fall 2001) <br /> This agency was formed in March of 1992 via a Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> (As of City Council meeting on June 25, 2001 this agreement will be <br /> dissolved effective December 31, 2001.) <br /> MISSION STATEMENT: <br /> Community Recreation offers recreation programming, support, and input to <br /> the park and recreation commission, support services to the youth associations, <br /> as well as other related services. <br /> Main Park and Recreation service connections: <br /> PROGRAMMING AND FACILITY SCHEDULING <br /> Staff: <br /> Recreation Manager: FT(reports to City Administrator) <br /> Secretary: FT <br /> Program Assistant: 30 hours per week <br /> Other Seasonal Staff: 5 --30 people depending on the season: all PT <br /> Budget: <br /> 2001 125,000.00 <br /> Proposed 2002 160,000.00 <br /> • <br />
