Mr. Hecker presented a PowerPoint <br /> outlining the Parks and Recreation Commission's recommended changes to the plan. <br /> Mayor Dietz explained the (r,ouncil has discussed and is in apposition to the road <br /> connection through the Woodland'Fralls Park. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Motin and seconded by Councilmember Wilson to <br /> remove the road connection between County Road 33 and County Road I <br /> through the Woodland Trails Park from the Comprehensive Plan and send a <br /> letter to Sherburne County requesting the road also be removed from the <br /> County Transportation Plan. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Mayor Dietz opened the public hearing. <br /> Mary Emhart, 201 Norfolk Avenue — expressed her opposition to the toad <br /> connection through, C-anip Coz�,. <br /> Dave Anderson, 14845 County Road 30 —requested the road connection through <br /> Woodland Park be removed from, the city's Transportation Plan if shown in that <br /> plan. I le expressed opposition toy the road connection through Camp Cozy, adding <br /> that buildinga road iri that location may be difficult due to the flood plain. He added staff and the Planning <br /> Commission recornmend the road be retained ill the plan for future study. <br /> Councilmember Motin stated he is comfortable with staffs recommendation to leave <br /> the road in the plan. He added that he isn't necessarily- in favor of having a road in <br /> this location but he believes it warrants a study Since the Council has been discussing <br /> cast to west corridors for many years. <br /> Councih-nernber Wfl son stated he believes an east to west corridor makes sense but <br /> not at the expense of parkland.
