Chapter 4: Community Context / 27 <br />Elk River Comprehensive Plan <br />Educational Attainment <br />The US Census reports that approximately <br />94 percent of the population attained a high <br />school degree or its equivalent, and roughly <br />42 percent of the population completed <br />an Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s, or <br />graduate/professional degree. Compared <br />to Sherburne County and the State of <br />Minnesota, Elk River has higher percentages <br />of high school graduates.
